Protect Our Democracy

Everything is different in 2020, including the election. But here’s something that hasn’t changed: the leaders we elect this year will impact every single one of us. They will shape the future we leave behind for our children. They will decide if we return to normal—to a world that ignores the daily injustices of being Black, Brown, or low income in America—or take bold action to rebuild better than before. With stakes this high, every vote matters.

Help spread spread the urgency of this election by sharing these graphics on Facebook, Twitter, and with your family and friends.

Every eligible voter should have their voice heard and their vote counted. When we take the time to count and verify every ballot, it’s a sign that our democracy is working. #CountEveryVote

Every Voice Matters

Every eligible voter should have their voice heard & their vote counted. It’s going to take longer to count the votes and verify a winner in this year’s election – and that’s okay. We need to be patient so election officials can take the time to make sure we #CountEveryVote.

Accurate Vote Count

As more people vote by mail this year, it may take a little longer for our local election administrators to count every vote. Additional time is necessary to ensure the rigorous checks and balances that protect the fairness and accuracy of our elections can take place.

Election Night ≠ Results Night

This election cycle, patience is a virtue. As more voters cast their ballot by mail, states need time to ensure every vote is counted before announcing results – because every vote MUST be counted. We might not know the results of the election on November 3rd, and that’s okay. Ensuring every vote counts is more important than hearing early results.
