On Wednesday, January 27th the Biden Harris Administration announced sweeping Executive Action to address the triple crises of COVID-19, job loss, and the existential threat of climate change. Dream Corps Green For All is encouraged by the intention to center equity and racial justice through job creation, targeted investments for disadvantaged communities, and accountability through the electrification of federal vehicle fleets, and more.
These actions demonstrate the Biden Harris Administration’s commitment to ambitious action to address the climate emergency and deliver meaningful and measurable progress.

Today’s announcement of President Biden’s executive orders on climate, which focus on benefits for disproportionately pollution-burdened communities and those who have lost jobs from the transition from coal, is a commitment to building a strong clean economy that tackles the triple crisis of job loss, climate change, and racial inequality.
We applaud the administration’s directive to leverage the federal government’s infrastructure and purchasing power to ensure that the jobs of the clean energy future are good-paying, union jobs as we transition to a pollution-free economy. Equally important, we’re encouraged to see that those investments prioritize benefits for environmental justice communities.
The federal government spends so much taxpayer money on treating the symptoms of inequality and climate disasters, that it is great to see President Biden’s leadership in tackling not only symptoms but also root causes, which will yield the biggest returns.
Dream Corps Green For All is ready to work with the new administration to fulfill its promise to unlock the untapped talent in Black and Brown communities that is critical to inclusive recovery and growth, bolstering opportunities for business owners, entrepreneurs, and those returning home from prison. This is where we begin to build a new and better economy that runs on clean energy, worker dignity, and justice for all. — Michelle Romero, National Director of Green For All
