Shannon Baker-Branstetter develops federal and state climate, energy, and transportation policy for Green For All. Shannon believes that policy and government should serve the people. She lives by the Dr. Su’ad Abdul Khabeer quote: “You don’t need to be a voice for the voiceless. Just pass the mic.” Her work centers around creating green jobs and improving public health and infrastructure for underserved and disadvantaged communities.
Prior to joining Green For All, Shannon served as Manager of Cars and Energy Policy at Consumer Reports where she led the policy team’s work on energy efficiency, clean energy, utilities, clean vehicle, fuel economy, and other transportation and environmental issues. Previously, she worked at the Department of Labor and at an employment law firm.
Shannon attended Yale University (B.A., Political Science), University of California, Los Angeles (M.P.P., labor policy concentration), and Georgetown University (J.D., environmental law focus). She is an active member of the California and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
Shannon is based in Washington, D.C. and enjoys sports, the great outdoors, and everything Star Wars.
