Mariah Chinchilla is the Communications Manager for Green for All. She leads the marketing and overall communications strategy for various campaigns including Common Ground on Climate, Invest in US, #FuelChange and more. She is the point of contact for all media and press relations for the Green For All team and is especially passionate about centering the voices and stories of Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and low-income communities to advocate for equitable, resilient, vibrant, and healthy neighborhoods.
Prior to joining the Dream Corps, Mariah was a Marketing and Engagement Manager at the Pratt Center’s Made in NYC initiative where she managed the communications and member strategy for over 1,300 small businesses in the five boroughs of New York City. Mariah is also a seasoned TV professional and spent five years as an Associate Producer for NBC News and Entertainment where she focused on executing network initiatives and created content for 200+ local news stations across the United States. While at NBC, Mariah worked on major TV broadcast events including the TODAY Show, 2012 and 2016 Presidential Election coverage, and the 2016 Rio and 2018 Pyeong Chang Olympics. In her spare time, Mariah co-founded the BRN GRL SPK Art Collective which creates opportunities for women of color to express themselves through poetry, music, and events, with proceeds supporting non-profits like Black Girls Code, WeAct for Environmental Justice, and Freedom For Families. Mariah has a B.A. from Dominican University of California in Communications and Media Studies and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute.
